We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal data. For that reason, we process your data exclusively in accordance with the legal requirements (GDPR, Telecommunications Act of 2003 [TKG 2003]). The purpose of this privacy information is to acquaint you with the most important aspects of data processing that come to bear when you visit our website.

General data collection activities during website visits

Every time a data subject or an automated system accesses the website, we collect a range of general data and information. This general data and information is stored in the server's log files. The data and information we collect may include:

- an internet protocol address (IP address),
- the data and time of accessing the website,
- the exact page accessed on our website,
- the website from which you accessed our website (known as the referer),
- the browser used and the version of this browser,
- and the operating system used to access our website.

We process this data for the following purposes:

- to warrant a smooth connection with the website,
- to optimise content for you on our website,
- and to warrant system security and stability.

These points are both in your and our legitimate interest. Where necessary, we also use this data to meet our legal obligations in dealings with law enforcement agencies. We will never use the data collected to identify you as a person. We store these log files for a period of no more than 2 months.

Google Maps

This site uses the Google Maps map service via an API. It is operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland. To use Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. The use of Google Maps is in the interest of making our website appealing and to facilitate the location of places specified by us on the website. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Contact form, Information request, Online application

If you contact us using the form available on our website or by email, or send us your application, we will process the data you provide as a pre-contractual measure taken to handle your request. Because such correspondence qualifies as a business letter, we will retain the data for a period of 7 years. We will not disclose this data without your consent.

Newsletter

You have the option of subscribing to our newsletter via our website. For this, we require your e-mail address and your consent that you agree to receive the newsletter.

Without providing the mandatory information, you will not receive a newsletter from us. This does not apply to the non-provision of voluntary information, which merely means that you will not be addressed personally in the respective newsletter.

We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to register for our newsletter. This means that as soon as you have registered for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a link to confirm your registration. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your data will be automatically deleted. The purpose of this procedure is to prove that you have registered to receive the newsletter and, if necessary, to clarify any possible misuse of your personal data. After your confirmation, we store your e-mail address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Article 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

You can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the revocation. You can declare the revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter email or by sending a message to the contact details provided in the imprint. We keep your data with us for as long as the subscription is active. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

Your rights

Generally, you enjoy the following rights: the right to access your data, the right to rectification of your data, the right to erasure of your data, the right to restrict processing of your data, the right to data portability and the right to object to the processing of your data. If you believe that the processing of your data is in breach of data protection law, or your rights under data protection law are otherwise infringed, you may file a claim with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.

Data for the newsletter mailing list

When you sign up for the newsletter distribution list, the data you fill in will be stored by us on a server. We use this data exclusively for sending the e-mail newsletters. The data records are used for statistical evaluations to analyse system performance. We do not pass on your data to third parties or use it for any other purposes of our own. The registration system with an additional confirmation message containing a link to a final registration ("double opt-in") ensures that the newsletter is explicitly desired by you and that you give your consent to the storage and processing of your e-mail address for the purpose of sending the newsletter and for statistical evaluations to analyse system performance.

You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter and your consent to the storage and processing of your e-mail address at any time by sending an e-mail to office@hlb-burgenland.at. In this case, the data entered or provided by you will be deleted by us immediately.
